Cliff Brown planed in Sunday for the Llamados, who are in dire need of a legitimate offensive presence in the paint with power forward Kerby Raymundo still in sick bay.

His form will be evaluated by the Derby Ace coaching staff when the Llamados return from the All-Star break here.

The Gin Kings, on the other hand, are awaiting the arrival of Mildon Ambres with coach Jong Uichico still trying to find an import who could play multiple roles and take the place of Awvee Storey.

“I have received word that he has arrived, but I still have to see him personally,” said Derby Ace’s Ryan Gregorio, who called the shots for the North squad in the All-Star Game last night.

“Things remain uncertain.”

He stressed that while current import Lorenzo Wade is talented, the Llamados need someone who can fill Raymundo’s spot.

Raymundo has no definite timetable for his return from a knee injury.

Brown is also 25 years old like Wade and was once a teammate of Rain or Shine’s Jai Lewis in the Japanese pro league. He also played in Germany for Gottingen, which he led to the finals
