MANILA, Philippines—The remains of Ernani Sencil, whose charred body was found on January 13 in La Paz, Tarlac, were laid to rest in Marikina City Saturday. The simple ceremony, which began around 10 a.m. at the Garden of Memories at the Loyola Memorial Park, lasted for less than 30 minutes.
Condoling with Sencil's family were Norma and Wendell Lozano, the mother and brother, respectively, of the murdered car dealer Emerson Lozano.
An hour earlier, the remains of another murdered car dealer Venson Evangelista were cremated at the St Peter Crematorium.
Emerson Lozano and Sencil were together to meet a supposed car buyer when they went missing last week. Their charred bodies were separately found later in Central Luzon.
The burned body of Evangelista was found in the remote barangay of Buliran in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
