AirAsia-Philippine Patriots are on the lookout for a new import after releasing American reinforcement Donald Little. The Patriots are looking for a tall but bulky import that can man the paint for the defending champions.
Little, who played for the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Big East Conference of the US NCAA, was released by the Patriots after a lackluster performance in the team’s 96-81 loss to the Westports KL Dragons.
The 6-foot-10 Little scored just six points in the first half and was even outrebounded several times before finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes of action.
Team manager Erick Arejola said they wanted a young and dependable center to replace Little.
The Patriots will play with only one import, Rasheim Wright, when they face Indonesia’s Satria Muda BritAma in Jakarta on Saturday.
The Patriots have dropped to second place with six wins and three losses behind the 7-2 card of the Chang Thailand Slammers.
