OKLAHOMA CITY (AP)—Kevin Durant(notes) and Jeff Green(notes) returned to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup against Minnesota on Monday night after sitting out with injuries. Durant, who is averaging an NBA-best 28 points, has missed the last two games with a left ankle sprain. Green has sat out the past four games with a left ankle sprain, as well. Green is averaging 18.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in six starts.
“They are fine,” said Oklahoma City coach Scott Broooks. “They will play good minutes and I see no problems with their conditioning. You want those guys back when they are ready and as a coach you want your players healthy. We’re glad we’re in a position to have everyone back tonight. Obviously, Kevin and Jeff are a big part of what we do.”
Even without Durant and Green, the Thunder has won their last four games, including road wins at Utah, Boston and Milwaukee. Oklahoma City is 9-4.
Green was listed as day-to-day and Durant was listed as questionable as late as this morning, but Brooks said both will be starting tonight and there was no immediate plan to limit their minutes.
