| Name: Cyrus Baguio Jersey Number: 3 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1980-08-19 Birthplace: Iligan City Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 lbs. Position: Guard/Forward Draft(Year): 14th overall by Red Bull (2003) College/University: University of Santo Tomas Cyrus Baguio is a professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association for the Alaska Aces. He is a former stalwart of the UST Growling Tigers during his college tenure with the team. He is also an AND 1 endorser. The guard is known for his dunks and acrobatic moves, thus his moniker "Skyrus." He was drafted by Red Bull in 2003 as the fourteenth overall. Before the draft, many basketball pundits were expecting him to be a first round draftee because of his illustrious college career at University of Santo Tomas. But during draft day, he was only picked in the second round causing a shock to many basketball observers. During his rookie year, he played the support role but did well. Slowly, after Red Bull traded away its main men like Willie Miller, Kerby Raymundo, Lordy Tugade, Enrico Villanueva, and Mick Pennisi, Baguio then emerged as the team's leading scorer and main skipper. The then-budding PBA superstar proved that he was worth a player. He led his team in scoring and in other departments during his time with Red Bull. And on his last year with the team, he ended his stint still scorching the net by being among the top 10 leading scorers in the league, and by being an All-Star caliber player. During the latter part of the 2008-09 PBA season, he along with Red Bull teammate Celino Cruz were traded to the Air21 Express for future picks. This trade then led Yeng Guiao to resign as Red Bull coach. In 2008, Baguio was named into the National Team under his former mentor in Red Bull, Coach Yeng Guiao. In 2009, Baguio, reportedly unhappy with his tenure in Burger King, was dealt to the Barangay Ginebra Kings. He became part of the talented backcourt of the Gin Kings, together with National Teammate Jayjay Helterbrand, Mark Caguioa and Ronald Tubid. He was then with his class 2003 batchmates, Enrico Villanueva, Sunday Salvacion and Ronald Tubid. Baguio, led the Powerade Team Pilipinas into its 8th place Tianjin cruise. He is the revelation of that Team Pilipinas, that wowed, international basketball fans. On April 30, 2010, Baguio, reportedly unhappy with the Barangay Ginebra Kings due to lost in rotation was traded to the Alaska Aces for all-star Willie Miller. In his debut with the Alaska Aces, He sparked a fourth quarter rally by playing tough defense, hustles and scoring 12 of his 14 points in the final canto to help his new team to a come-from-behind win over his former team, the Barangay Ginebra Kings. Achievements 2004 PBA Slam Dunk Champion 2007-2008 PBA Most Improved Player 2007-2008 PBA Mythical Second Team

| Name: L.A. Tenorio Jersey Number: 5 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1984-07-09 Birthplace: Quezon City Height: 5'8" Weight: 151 lbs. Position: Guard Draft(Year): 4th overall by San Miguel (2006) College/University: Ateneo de Manila University Lewis Alfred V. Tenorio (born July 9, 1984 in Nasugbu, Batangas), better known as L.A. Tenorio, is a Filipino professional basketball point guard who currently plays for the Alaska Aces in the Philippine Basketball Association. His combination of speed, strength, athleticism, perimeter shooting, penetrating the lane, precision passing and relentless on-ball defense have made him a name as a complete player and a consistent winner. The former Ateneo standout had a career season this past year with Alaska in points as he averaged personal-bests 11.0 points and 4.7 assists per contest. Tenorio ranked fifth in assists and eighth in steals (1.15), a testament that he is now one of the elite playmakers in the league. The 25-year old guard played his first full season with the Aces and it seems that has fully adjusted to Cones system and blended well with Willie Miller at backcourt. Tenorio, whose 33.26 minutes per game ranked No. 8 among locals last season, will continue to run the offense for the Aces and expect a big year for the 57 guard.

Position: Center Draft(Year): 5th overall by Alaska (2004) College/University: James Cook University Joachim Gunther Thoss, better known as Sonny Thoss, is a Filipino Professional Basketball Player of the Philippine Basketball Association in the Philippines playing for the Alaska Aces. He was born on December 7, 1981 in Papua New Guinea. His is famous by his moniker "Big Balls" (Bigat ng bayag) The 27-year old Papua New Guinea-born center just signed a new three-year extension deal and it just shows the confidence of management on him. Now one of the most talented big men in the league, Thoss will be one of the cornerstones of the Aces hunt for an all-Filipino title this season. The six-foot-seven center started in 42 of the 47 games of Alaska this past season and averaged 8.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. His 54.79 percent clip from the field ranked third among locals in the league, enough proof of his efficiency on the floor.the lane. The 6-7 Thoss started in 48 out of 53 games for the Aces last season and averaged career-highs in scoring (10.1 ppg), rebounding (6.3 rpg), free-throw percentage (70.9%) and field-goal percentage (57.6%), the latter figure ranking second overall among all locals behind only Marc Pinrgis's 58.7 percent clip. Cone expects the 25-year old center to improve further this season.

| Name: Reynel Hugnatan Jersey Number: 21 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1978-11-03 Birthplace: Bacolod City Height: 6'4" Weight: 210 lbs. Position: Forward Draft(Year): 9th overall by Coca-Cola (2003) College/University: University of Manila Monicker/Nick: The 6'4 forward is a trusted big man when it comes to doing the dirty works and guarding the best pivot players in the league. Hugnatan’s job most of the time is to limit the league’s best scoring big men and sometimes the imports of their rivals. He is a resident enforcer and a primary post defender. He had another solid season for Alaska after averaging 8.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. But Hugnatan saw his minutes dip a bit when Joe Devance was acquired by the team as the latter also plays the small forward position. Hugnatan, the six-foot-five bruiser from Bacolod, remains as one of the most dependable rebounder in the league as his 2.66 offensive rebounds per game ranked No. 8 among locals last season. The 30-year old forward will be a vital cog in the teams search for a 13th crown in the league.

| Name: Jeffrey Cariaso Jersey Number: 22 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1972-09-12 Birthplace: San Francisco, California, USA Height: 6'2" Weight: 180 lbs. Position: Guard Draft(Year): 6th overall by Alaska (1995) College/University: Sonoma State University Monicker/Nick: The Jet He was first drafted by the Alaska Aces (then known as the Alaska Milkmen) during the 1995 PBA Draft as the sixth overall. During his rookie year, he won the Rookie of the Year Award. And in only his second year in the league, he achieved a rare grand slam with the Alaska Aces where he was instrumental in that majestic championship run. He was then traded to the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters (then known as the Mobiline Phone Pals) where he was a primary offensive threat for the team. After his tenure with Talk 'N Text, he was again sent to the expansion team Tanduay Rhum Masters. He bannered the team alongside Sonny Alvarado and Rudy Hatfield. After Tanduay folded in 2001, he was then picked by the Coca-Cola Tigers, and in the process achieved another championship which he last tasted with Talk 'N Text. Jeff is the last and only active player remaining on that Alaska Grand Slam team of 1996.

| http://i31.servimg.com/u/f31/15/31/74/34/cablay10.jpg Name: Brandon Cablay Jersey Number: 24 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1978-03-01 Birthplace: Kemake, Hawaii, U.S. Height: 6'0" Weight: 165 lbs. Position: Guard Draft(Year): 5th overall (2003) College/University: Vanguard University of South California Brandon Lee Kaui Cablay is a Filipino American professional basketball player currently playing for the Alaska Aces in the Philippine Basketball Association. He started his career in the PBA in 2003 as a member of the Alaska Aces. He would win his first PBA championship in the 2003 PBA Invitational Conference, wherein Cablay was named Finals MVP. He was acquired by the Beermen from the Aces in exchange for Nic Belasco. Cablay was traded by the Beermen to Purefoods at the start of the 2007-08 PBA season. He was then signed as a free agent by his former team the Alaska Aces. He was actually part of the Larry Fonacier trade that involved San Miguel and Red Bull but the Barakos have already filled up the off-guard spot that's why they can no longer accommodate this 2003 Slam Dunk champion. The 33rd season of the league was about to open in a week and Cablay remained without a team. Fortunately, Purefoods traded for him and in return gave a future second round pick to the Barakos. This will be Cablay's third team in five seasons and Gregorio hopes that the 6-0 high-leaper would give them quality games.

| Name: Joe De Vance Jersey Number: 38 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1982-02-19 Birthplace: Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Height: 6'7" Weight: 225 lbs. Position: Forward Draft(Year): First overall (2007) College/University: University of Texas, El Paso The forward Devance attended the University of Texas, El Paso in his college career but did not play a single game. He entered the PBA in 2007 as the first overall pick by then-expansion team Welcoat. After playing one season with the Welcoat Dragons, he was then traded to the Alaska Aces for Solomon Mercado. He is a feared outside scorer and a serious threat in the low post, a testament to his offensive capabilities.[1] Because of his huge talent and humility, JDV quickly endeared himself to the Alaska faithful during his entry to the team.

| Name: Michael "Topex" Robinson Jersey Number: 11 Team: Alaska Birthdate: 1979-12-25 Birthplace: Olongapo City Height: 5'10" Weight: 155 lbs. Position: Guard Draft(Year): 44th overall by Tanduay (2001) College/University: San Sebastian College The way he huddles his teammates oncourt, he sure has the makings of a great coach someday and no wonder he is Guiao's main playmaker, starting or not. His knowledge of the game is the big factor why Red Bull continues to be a dangerous team despite having a depleted lineup sometimes and a not-so-talented one on paper. Robinson's numbers were not that impressive 4.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game but he's providing the intangibles that do not reflect in the stats sheets that's why he's still earning ample minutes. This season, with its big guns gone, Robinson must create a lot of things, both on offense and defense, for the Barakos to go far in the all-Filipino tournament.

| Coach Tim Cone Coaching career In 1989, Cone took over as the coach of the Alaska Air Force with players such as the famed Bruise Brothers duo of Yoyoy Villamin and Ricky Relosa, and Abet Guidaben. A year later, Cone led the Air Force to the finals of the 1990 PBA Third Conference. Alaska blew a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series to suffer one of the biggest collapses in PBA history, losing to Purefoods in five games. But in 1991, Alaska won its first championship by defeating Ginebra San Miguel in the 3rd Conference. That team was led by Jojo Lastimosa, Eugene Quilban and Bong Alvarez. After several struggles, Cone's team would have a strong team of locals Johnny Abarrientos, Jojo Lastimosa, Bong Hawkins, Jeffrey Cariaso and Edward Juinio, while having import Sean Chambers for the Milkmen. From 1994 to 1998, the Milkmen won eight titles in 14 conferences during the stretch. The highlight of that run though would come in the 1996 season when Alaska won the coveted PBA Grand Slam, becoming the third franchise and the fourth team to win a Grand Slam in the history of the PBA. While Alaska continued to dominate by adding Kenneth Duremdes in 1997. Duremdes, playing a limited role with the Pop Cola franchise, rose up to the occasion in 1998 under Cone's tutelage, winning the PBA Most Valuable Player Award at 24 years of age. That year, Cone was hired as the coach of the Philippine Centennial Team led by Duremdes, Abarrientos, Lastimosa, three players on Cone's Alaska team, and PBA stars Alvin Patrimonio, Marlou Aquino and Allan Caidic. That team won a bronze medal in the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand. Alaska won the 2000 All-Filipino Cup, but afterwards, the team faced rebuilding and traded away several remnants of the old Alaska. Cone, however, would lead the young team of John Arigo and Ali Peek to runner-up finishes in the 2002 Governors and All-Filipino Cup. A year later, the Aces added UAAP star Mike Cortez and fil-am Brandon Cablay, leading Alaska to the 2003 PBA Invitational Cup championship, Cone's 11th title. New Contract On July 17, 2006, Manila Standard reported that Alaska is set to terminate Cone depending on a meeting between both parties after Cone's contract with the Aces expired on July 15. Rumors also speculated that his replacement will be his former assistant, former National team mentor Chot Reyes, with Cone staying on as team consultant. [1] However, a day later, the Aces' official website reported that Cone has agreed to a new deal to stay on as the team's head coach for the 2006-07 PBA season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. [2] Trivia Cone is known as the only head coach in the PBA to wear a long-sleeved shirt and tie during games. He once wore a short-sleeved shirt in 2006 before reverting back to his usual look. His previous assistant coaches, Joel Banal and Chot Reyes, as well as other coaches like Louie Alas and Ariel Vanguardia, have taken up the practice on multiple occasions as well.
