MANILA, Philippines — Vice President and housing czar Jejomar Binay said on Tuesday that they have “solid evidence” against those who are involved in the syndicated estafa filed against Globe Asiatique before the Department of Justice (DoJ) in late October, adding that they continue to gather evidence against other Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) personnel who may be involved in the Xevera project anomaly. “I can assure you, yung sa kasong ifinile, solid ang ebidensya. Yun ang direction ko [I can assure you that the case we have filed has solid evidence. That is my direction],” Binay said.
He said that while a case has already been filed before the DoJ, they are still gathering more evidence against other erring personnel who may be involved in the anomaly.
“We’re trying to gather more evidence so that we can veer from speculating. Pero yung nauna na, kumpleto na ang ebidensya [But we have complete evidence in the first case we have filed],” he said, adding that the case is already set for preliminary investigation.
“There’s an ongoing investigation, partial palang yun. Lalo na yung may mga empleyado pang binubuo pa yung ebidensya. Pero kung sa aking bahagi, ang isa kong naging direction, ang inihahabla o kailangang ihabla ay merong ebidensya. Hindi dapat maghabla ng haka-haka o spekulasyon. Kailangan ng ebidensya,” he said.
