It will be work, work, work for the Tropang Texters this holiday season.

Talk N’ Text coach Chot Reyes made the announcement on Sunday moments after his troops sent Rain or Shine packing, 107-92, on Sunday to secure its place in the semi-finals of the 2010-11 PBA Philippine Cup.

“We’re not gonna take a break,” proclaimed Reyes, who granted the Texters their only break on Monday to enable them to regain their energy.

“We can’t afford to skip a day without the benefit of conditioning. At the earliest, we’ll be
back for the semifinal series on Saturday (Dec. 25) and resume the series on Jan. 5. We don’t want to disrupt our rhythm.”

The top seeded Texters will face either B-Meg Derby Ace or Meralco in a best-of-seven semifinal series.

B-Meg Derby Ace holds a 1-0 led against Meralco in their best-of-three quarterfinals showdown. The defending champions go for the clincher on Wednesday.

Reyes said he has no preference as to which team to play. “As they say, be careful about what you wish for.”

Reyes said he hopes his team would be able to stay away from injuries until the duration of the
playoffs. “We’ll see what happens,” he said.
