Import Nate Brumfield scored seven of the Kings' last nine points, including the two free throws in the final six seconds that sealed the team’s fourth straight win.

Ginebra improved to 5-2 and tied Alaska for third place.

Ronald Tubid finished with 16 points and nine rebounds for the Kings, including a 4-of-6 shooting from the three-point range.

The pesky guard out of University of the East also helped in limiting Rain or Shine import Hassan Adams to just 14 points and was held scoreless in the fourth period.

With Adams struggling against Tubid's defense, the Elasto Painters' bench - led by TY Tang, Larry Rodriguez, Ryan Arana and Jeff Chan - delivered and rallied the team back from as much as an 11-point deficit to tie the game at 79 midway in the fourth.

But Tubid sank his last three-pointer of the game to put the Kings on top for good, 82-79.

Rain or Shine threatened for the last time at 93-90 with 16 seconds left on a Tang three-pointer. The Painters even had a chance to come closer after Tubid was called for a lane violation shortly after the Kings' in-bound play.

Gabe Norwood, however, was also called for the same violation, ending Rain or Shine's last attempt to send the game into overtime.

Rain or Shine continued its free-fall in the tournament, suffering its fourth straight loss after a franchise-best 3-0 start.
