MALE and female basketball aficionados who want to become a part of the Philippine Basketball
Association (PBA) family as game officials have until Jan. 15, 2011 to apply for the league’s
Referees Academy.

Applicants should be 25 to 35-years-old, college graduate and must be at least 5-foot-8 for male aspirants, while female candidates must be of the same age, also a college degree holder, and with a height of at least 5-foot-2.

Application already began last Dec. 15 as part of commissioner Chito Salud’s thrust to further
fortify the quality of officiating in the 36-year-old pro league.

At present, the PBA has a pool of 20 game officials.

Applications forms can be secured during officer hours at the PBA office at 186 E. Rodriguez Jr.
Avenue, Libis, Quezon City.
