MANILA, Philippines — Freddie Roach has Shane Mosley all figured out but remains wary of what a very seasoned puncher like him could do specially that the stakes are going to be high on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After declaring that he wants Manny Pacquiao to report for training camp starting March 7 in Baguio City or wherever the Filipino chooses to kick off the eight-week buildup, Roach said he will begin reviewing Mosley’s fights soon.

“By next week, I will start watching tapes,” said Roach, who has all of the American’s significant bouts in his Los Angeles home.

Even though Roach knows Mosley like the palm of his hand, Roach is not leaving any stone unturned in his bid to steer Pacquiao to another victory, opting to begin the preparation as early as possible.

The Mosley showdown will be Pacquiao’s 20th fight on US soil and the first time Roach said Pacquiao will be facing somebody who has lightningquick hands like him.

“I don’t believe this is going to be easy and it would be a mistake if Manny believes this is an easy fight,” said Roach.

Mosley will be almost 40 years old by the time he slugs with Pacquiao but Mosley insists he deserves being granted a megabuck match owing to his track record.

Mosley, famous for his two victories over a prime Oscar De La Hoya, edged Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico to win the Pacquiao derby.

Roach is willing to be brought back to the City of Pines again and spend four weeks with Pacquiao but wants the remaining four weeks under the more familiar confines of the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, remain on vacation with his family in Sydney, Australia, and is slated to return to the country on Monday.
