AFTER sealing a Final Four berth, De La Salle University goes for a twice-to-beat bonus when it battles National University tomorrow in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan. The Lady Archers, setting the pace with a 9-1 card, clobbered the Lady Tamaraws of Far Eastern University 25-19, 25-11, 25-23 last Wednesday to clinch a semis berth.
Another win by La Salle over NU in their 2 p.m. clash will enable the Taft-based spikers to move within a win of clinching the semis incentive.
Defending champion University of Santo Tomas is expected to go all out against University of the East when they lock horns at 4 o’clock, with the Tigresses, running second with a 7-3 card, looking to boost their chance of securing a semis seat.
Ateneo and Adamson University are tied for third with 6-4 slates.
National University, in fifth place after absorbing back-to-back losses, including a 23-25, 14-25, 21-25 setback to Ateneo last weekend, is still in the thick of the fight with 4-6 record.
